Question Blending Pictures

How do I blend pictures in Photoshop? I am really new to this. What I want is that Picture A gradually blends with Picture B.

You can use the mask button (located below the layers tab) or the mask tool(along with the toolbars)

you can lower the opacity or use different the layer modes
