Brush help!!

I'm having problems with inking in photoshop. :/
Instead of a brush that looks like

mine looks like this
How can I change my brush?
does anyone have any tips on inking in photoshop??
I really, though, need some help with the brush problem. For some reason, supposedly, the first one is what photoshop has as default..but the one i have (the second picture) is my default

Help!!
