Thumbs up create hi-res outline

anyone knows how to create or make an outline of an object?

like the rotating camera found in this site
http://www.swift3d.com


I tried creating one but it's jagged not like the object(camera) in the link.

either trace the shape with the pen tool, or else go to filter>blur>smart blur> and put the mode to edge only....
pen tool is best though

If you have seen my attachment, what i've used there is a the smart blur, but it's jagged. If I'm going to use a pen tool that'll be tedious

anyone got an idea, how they might have done it? I usually see those things in flash movies or sites but I don't remember flash having show a property to get outlines of a picture
