please help

one more thing to give an example, I taught a friend of mine very feeeewww tools in photoshop and this guy just went WILD creating amazing images... do you get my point?

Photo shop is just another medium for expressing creativity. Just like paint and a canvas. So my advice to you is learn the program, create your own techniques if you can't figure out how other do certain things. It starts with you, and then the more you know about the program, the more things you will be able to manipulate and create.

As far a step by step tutorals you must ask a specific question.

Hi da_big_z, I suppose your friend just let it rip, whereas you concern yourself with "the proper way to do it" type of thinking? Even the pros have different ways to achieve thier goals.

What turns you on big_z? Visualizing the end product before hand is a good idea too ...

Sustained creativity requires both discipline and talent. Don't be afraid to fail, since you are just starting out yes? just let 'er rip babieee!!!
