    Cutting an image

How do you perfectly cut an image to paste in a new window? I can never get the image to perfectly cut out. I see other people have an image cut out perfectly to fit the other windows background. But when I go to cut it out I leave some cut off. Also is there a transperancy effect you can use for the image instead of cutting it? I have Adobe Photoshop 7.0...Please help me!

    Thanks, Notorious

to perfectly cut out an image takes some practice...do do it perfectly that is..

but use a lasso tool to select the stuff you want...you will find that the lasso tool is very dificult to use and you must have a steady hand...it is for this reason that many of us use the polygonal lasso tool and this is no longer an issue...you click at various points and kinda like connect the dots and surround the bit that you want to copy with these lines that it will draw...connect them at the end, right click and pick "layer via cut/copy"

then just drag the layer over to your other window!!

    good lucky and rock on!!
