Default Color White

I am using photoshop 7.0, and i was wondering why the white in the program is more of a baige? anyone know why?

Are you sure that it's not your monitor? What is the Hexadecimal of the white you are seeing?

it may have to do with my monitor, i'm using a LCD flat panel, maybe that affects the color. the hexadecimal is FFFFFF, but for some reason it appears to be more along the lines of beige.

i have this same problem too....

i have this same problem too....

white is white on my monitor..... everywhere but photoshop

when I print it, its white
on the screen... its beige

help?!

Have you calibrated the Gamma of your monitor? This usually the problem, but I have never worked with an LCD monitor so not 100% sure.

Do other colours look odd as well?
