hi
what are the proper dimensions used for creating a photoshop layout for a website, nowadays? i used to do '779 by 434'. but now i tried '950 by 550'. is that ok? (i prefer to horizontally center the layout). thank you |

Hi,
typically you are safe from 800x600 up to 1024x768, as these are pretty well the standard resolutions nowadays. However, personally I prefer to design dynamic sized layouts (using percentages as opposed to fixed widths). it just makes more sense to design for as wide an audience as possible. I still do most of my layouts in photoshop first, you just have to keep in mind that you're going to want it to expand/contract depending on who is looking at it when you are designing it. hope that helps!
