I have been using Photoshop 7.0 on my Windows XP system for about 18 months with few glitches. Today when I start Photoshop it goes through all the opening window info then shuts down, reverting to my desktop.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled Photoshop 7.0 from my original CD, but the problem persists. My Photoshop 5.5 which I used previously, and retained on my HDD, still opens and runs normally, as does Illustrator. All other software and systems appear to be operating normally. Anyone got an idea what has happened, and how it can be remedied? |

Hmm. I've had the same prob, when I had two Adobe Photoshops (Different versions) installed. Even though I placed the files in two totally different folders, somehow, the most recent installation overwrote, some of the files from the previous installation of the previous version.
You say that you re-installed. That helped me. But uhm. If you still got the 5.5 version of a CD, then delete that, then re-install 7.0..... That might work, else i don't know.. |
