Well, you could use guides before "building" your object (ex: circle), use the guides to draw the circle, then you can use guides again to slice it (only works horizontally and vertically) ... anyway it all depends on the object and type of slicing.

I guess the only real way you can do this is by using guides when you slice your image.

Hi,

Is there an option in photoshop by which i can crop the image horizontally or vertically in given number of pieces

eg:

if have a image and wants to crop this vertical image in 5 pieces horizontally, which i am doing it using the guides and then crop the individual pieces of that image

anyone knows how to do this.

hi,

i'm not really sure if 'crop' is waht yer looking for...maybe slicing? if that's the case, just lay the guides out horizontally, and click 'snap' on, and then use the slice tool and slice accordingly.

HTH

if by deviding u mean knowing a specific length, of how far u have to move duplicate, then when u duplicate the layer, press CTRL + T (for duplicate) and then u can move to by Y an X axis given points or pixels for lengths, then u can duplicated transformed duplicate again and do the same thing with it.

Having a given picture of X by Y pixels if you want to obtain several images from it (dividing it into n parts) you can create the guides at certain points then open the image in ImageReady. The guided image becomes a sliced image automatically and you can then export the slices (jpg, gif etc).
