Question Dog eat a piece of a photo, can i reverse the twirly in it?

Hi, if you check the attachment then you will see that the image is a bit twirly because my dog have played with it hehe.

I wonder, can i take that twirly in the image away? Making it more dark or? Any filters for that?

Thanks for any help.

This example may help you get started on photo restoration for your photo.
You'll want to google for more examples on the net, there are many out there.

One thing I will say though, this is going to take you some time; patience will be required

That's quite a mess. Although quite easily fixed.
As you can see from the attachment most of the white tears can be fixed using the "healing brush tool".
The real problem your gonna have is with the bit to the left of the tigers paw which has been discoloured and has lost most of the detail.

Anyway the right hand side part of the picture took about 10-15 minutes to fix with the healing brush tool and with a bit of patience you should be able to do the left but like I said that bit in the centre will take a while but you should be able do something about it if you work with a small brush size.

Use the healing brush tool and in some of the worse places use the clone stamp tool and the main thing is take your time and use a small brush, and eventually you'll end up with something almost like the original.

I think this is a brilliant example of how powerful photoshop is. More recently I've been using it for web graphics but when I used to work doing photo restoration, photoshop really proved its worth.

[edit]
I stongly suggest you don't use the image I posted (it's only a quick example of what can be done) since it won't look very good once printed. I reccomend you make a hi-res scan and work slowly on that.

I tried to fix it, I'm not the best photoshopper though....lol

I was bored so I tried to fix the pic. The colors don't exactly match everywhere but it's the best I could do. Anyway, here is the pic.

Hi I'm into photo restoration also i've been doing it for awhile now I was wondering If I can hopefully work on the photo and maybe use it in my portfolio of restored pics. If it turns out ok or satisfactory I'd be more than happy to send you the restored pic..

Im a little short on pics that need restoring.
If you have anymore or anybody else you can email me the pics, and though i cant guarantee that i will restore each and everyone.

Looking for someone who sent a pic.

I just recently received a picture from someone who read my post here a while back. They sent in a picture to me for restoring .I downloaded and saved the picture but unfortunately I don't know what went wrong with hotmail but as soon as I was finished seeing the email I was unable to find the email again. Now Im trying to find the person who sent me this email since it was a couple of days ago. I would very much like to restore the picture that she /he sent me. So If anybody here sent me this picture please send me another email with your details again thankyou. The Person Mentioned it was her father. Hopefully this person sees this board and sends me an email back but I think it's a bit of a longshot considering how long it's been, regardless Im going to restore this picture.
