Edit Image for Printing

Hello,

I am trying to modify the attached image for printing. Currently on a photo printer the lines near the top and the more solid area top left do not print well. I cannot figure out how to darken it so that it will be closer in color to the colors used in the bottom portion.

Could someone possibly provide some basic instructions and attach a modified image which will be my end result?
