Edit text on an existing image
I am trying to edit an image and want to customize it by replacing the text by a text of my choice. I have no idea if this can be done.
Please help. I am attaching the image below. For example , I want to replace 'Company Name' by my comapany's name. Please some one help. |

i dont think this would be possible - and if you tried it would be uber hard.
The only way i can think of is if you did something over the text, like select an area .. add a motion blue then gradient the sides so it fades to nothing. Then add your new text on top. Why else would people add text to their images to copyright them? there is no way to get rid of it properly. cheers |

Here you go, but b4 proceeding, you should check with the original owners of the image if its OK with them to use it, heh. Why yes, I am canadian, how<d you guess ? |

Hey, my pleasure.
I used the wand tool without anti-aliasing to select the text, patiently bit by bit, pixel by pixel and I basically deleted it from the image. I then used the smudge tool and "creatively" went about smudging the edge of the backgroud picture into the deleted parts. Like I said, I did it very quickly (took me about 5 minutes) hence the "blotched" result. I'm sure you can do much better with a little patience and determination. Good luck |
