hi all,
i have an image that i want to fade make look alot paler - it must be simple? want it to still be as sharp but alot less prominent as im using it in a background. I know background images are frowned upon but this will look good wen iv taken it down a few shades lighter. Thanks all Harv |

you could always just make it more transparent..?
This can be done for the layers window.

Thanks. Although I did not ask the question, your reply allowed me to make it so. I "faded" (reduced opacity!) the image so that it could be used as a background. Check out this rookie/novice attempt at a web page, and make suggestions, if you have time: www.northphxipssa.org |

First, you should preload your images. Second if you just have to have a bacground try using css to center it like

You can fade out the edges and set a background color to the fade out colorYou could also fade out the image more (you can add highlight accents). I think that would look nice. |
