Font Trouble

Recently I got a new computer and I had to reinstall Photoshop 7. Before reinstalling it, my font came out smooth and such. Now it's all pixelated. If that is indeed the correct term. I have an example.

Before I reinstalled on my new computer:

After I reinstalled on my new computer:

(It was just a quick thing I made)

If there is any way to fix this, it would be greatly appreciated if you would tell me. Thanks.

You have to change the setting in your OS. I'm assuming you're in Windows, but you'll have to let me know if you're not.

Go to Control Panel, Display and look for the "Smooth Screen Fonts" option. Let me know if you're in Windows and what version and I'll tell you where it's at.

Yes, I'm in Windows. I use 2000 XP Professional.

are you talking about the image as you view it 'in' photoshop or after you export the image?
the operating system is not going to affect the image character in the actual exported file.
it looks different to me too.
is this a photoshop screen grab or an exported image file?

are you using 'save for web'?
did the export settings reset or something?
