"Healing" tool??
Ive heard a few people mention the healing tool. I saw someone use it to 'fix' that dog chewed up picture.
Now Im using photshop 5.5 and I cant seem to find such tool. So Im assuming its only avail on the newer versions. But is there something similar that I could be using? Right now Im just rubber stamping my *** off and its not really working as well as Id like it to. Any suggestions?

I have never used the healing tool. I just apply the dust and scratches filter, and ajust it until I can't see whatever it is that I want removed, than take a history snapshot and set the history brush to that snapshot and then go back in history to just before I applied the filter and use the history brush to go over the imperfections.

Healing Brush
The Healing Brush is an amazing tool. However, just as you expected it is only available on Photoshop 7+. The Rubber Stamp tool is very similar, the only difference is that the Healing Tool takes into account the lighting, and adjusts the new stamp to the lighting in the new area. It is a great tool for "healing" wrinkes, or spots on faces. It is also good for touching up old photos, or wrinkled photos, etc.
