>> HELP >>how to make a picture file (that's been improvised) as if it's the original

could anybody teach me how to make a picture file (that I have improvised) to become as if that picture was original?

I mean let's say I have an original photo of an object that consists of the color of green and red. I open that file in photoshop and I reduced the "brightness" until those two colors are becoming black and brown.
Now how to make this pic as if the original colors are black and brown? because when u save that file, and then u open it again, and then u increase the brightness, and it will become red and green again, instead of light black and light brown.

i'm using adobe photoshop 6.0, can anybody tell me how to do it?

thanx

There are several ways to do this.
One way is to open up your hue/saturation from image/adustments and select colorize. Use the hue slider to get the brown you want.

Another way is to use the replace colors from the image/adjustments.

Another way is to apply a gradient map (located on the layers pallet). Create your own gradient by clicking on the specifiers and making it the colors you want. When your satisfied flatten the image and save.

Hope one of these techniques help.
