Help in create simple logo?

I am a newbie. Stupid questions I would like to asked and like to learn it fast. (see attached logo)

I would like to make a similar one but what are the tools in photoshop I should use to draw the logo??? and how can I draw the "box" for the logo? and how can I color the logo in blue shade?

Can anyone give me some clue? Thanks in advance for any help.

I think your refering to custom text if so i dont think photosshop well work youll need to use illistrator or freehand to do what your looking for. youll be able to make the text u want

Its impossible to explain, you should hire someone and he will make you logo like this beatufuly for about 50$ like me

Thank you nanosec! I was having problem to figure out which software I should use. I am now downloading the Adobe Illustrator. Thanks again for your help.

You should save the above lines for your boss. I was asking for advice and not hiring anyone. Perhaps you should learn and listen like what nanosec did. A key success for a programmer is to know what your client needs by ----- LIStEN.

A number of tools in Photoshop are available to create your desired logo.

You could use the text tool and rasterize that layer by right clicking on the layer in the layers panel. Upon doing this, you can move each as you please or use the brush tool to alter it's shape.

Creating the box is as easy as using the rectangle tool and shaving the edges.

To fill in any area, just select it and with the color primarily chosen press alt+backspace to fill it.

You could also convert your text to a shape (type tool - right-click - convert to shape) and manipulate it as a vector graphic (which is what text actually is). However, this is what Illustrator will do better than Photoshop, as Illustrator is all about vector graphics, while Photoshop just barely deals with them.

You can also use the Pen and convert tool(to the left of your Text tool) If you play around with it alittle while you will get the hang of it and be able move the anchor points, to munipulate the shape to the way of your liking. Dont forget to use the Direct selection tool as well (highlighted arrow) (hot key A) get used to it and you'll be able to make it in no time.
