how do you mirror effect an irregular object

I've threads about mirroring objects, but only applicable to objects that are viewed in front, what if the objects are viewed from an angle, like if the object is skewed?

could you provide an example? because I'm haveing no problem mirroring things that are askew with a simple horizontal flip....

Sorry I didn't detailed it out, I need to mirror effect the object from the bottom so that it will act as a reflection
