How to free slice in photoshop

Hello,

I am new to photoshop and would really appreciate assistance in the following:

I have the design completed in photoshop and my plan is to export this to HTML so i can put some functionality behind it using dreamweaver. My question is:

- how can i slice up a piece that is diagonal? the reason why i need this is because i want to put links on these slices and they are designed in a tilted position and not horizontal.
