I can't even copy and paste :-(

This is really embarassing guys, but I can't even get the copy and paste feature in my Photoshop to work. I downloaded some PSDS and a background, just to test it out, but I can't copy anything so there's no way for me to make any images. I am REALLY sorry for the lame question, but I'm in desperate need of help. Thank you.

Are you trying to copy and paste things within the program?
If so, I'd suggest dragging things from canvas to canvas perhaps...

Lightbulb

To copy and paste...well theres a lot of ways, but a simple way is to chose the marquee tool (either rectangular or eliptical..your choice) then select the part of the picture you want to copy/cut. then, up at the tool bar, Edit > Copy/Cut , then go to the picture/image that you are going to paste it into, and either go Edit > Paste or Ctrl + v
Voila!

if there are several layers in your pic, make sure you select the right layer first before copy.

Try to check your keyboard...or check your PS program... is there error appear when you copy the image?
