I have this problem with my Imageready 8 I allways get two commas and then the letter comes like this
´´a ´´u ´´o
Instead of
á ú ó

What could be the problem my Photoshop works fine.

I am sorry if this is the wrong place to ask

could be the font you are using may not support those characters or something

does it do this for all fonts or...?

sounds kinda strange - perhaps submit a ticket with adobe support...?

No mater what font I use.

I remeber something like this with Photoshop a few years back but cant remeber what I had to do thene.

try using the ascii type version of those fonts :
á = Alt 0225
ú = Alt 0250
ó = Alt 0243
