Importing fonts to PhotoShop

Im designing a website for a very specific client. She wants a certain font that is featured in MS Word. This font is not in PhotoShop. Does anyone know how to import MS Word fonts into Photoshop?

hey welcome to devshed

the fonts used in your applications are generally all in a system folder located @ C:\WINDOWS\Fonts (on a windows machine obviously...what OS r u running?)

when placed in this global location any application can use them.

is the font in the word application on the same computer as the photoshop?
(each computer generally has different sets of fonts so the comp that you are working on may not have the same font that the client has in mind)

if not...what you need to do is take a copy of the font file from them and place it in the font folder on your comp and restart photoshop and it should appear in the fonts list.

if it is on the same machine...meaning that if the font shows up in word on machine A but not in photoshop on machine A and its in the Fonts folder...well...i dunno what to tell ya
... maybe someone else would know..

post back if you have more questions or to let us know how things work out for ya!!

good lucky and rock on!!

also...

you are just using this unique font on images/graphics right???

just a reminder...if you use a unique font in your webpages, the visitors of the site must have that font on their system in order for them to view it the way your client wants them to..

..unless you want to embed the fonts w/css etc....hehehe

post back if your interested in that as well..

again good lucky and rock on!!
