Arrow Insert animated .gif into .psd file

Ok I have a question that I feel can be answered easily. I created an animated gif in ulead cool 3d. I also have a psd file that is used for a web banner. It contains slices and several different layers including some rollovers. What I want to be able to do is insert the animated gif into the psd file and have it still work as an animated gif while keeping the original psd file intact. Not quite sure what I need to do to get this to work since I am sort of a noob when it comes to graphic design. Any help is very much appreciated.

Thanks.

NO!!!! Use ImageReady, it create a PSD that will store the layers as you would call "Frames"

As a matte of fact if im correct you should beable to just open the animated jif in Image ready and let it take a rip at it!

Yes I am aware of image ready. These are the steps that I have taken so far. I have opened up my original psd file in photoshop. I then clicked the "jump to image ready" button. It loaded up my psd file showing the "Frames" near the bottom. Now is where I am stuck. I don't want to lose any functionality with this psd file because it has rollovers built in it, but I do want to insert an animated gif that was created in another program. Is there a way to do this. If so please guide me.

Just do the following:
1. open the image ready and use it to open the animated gif file
2. then jump to Photoshop (you'll see the annimation layered in the psd file)
3. Open your main PSD file in Photoshop and then drag and drop all the annimated layers from the previous file.
4. Jump back to ImageReady from your main psd file and tune all the animation tricks you need

Feel free to visit my site www.edynamo.com for more webdesign info and tutorials.

Cheers,
Fader

Ok, thanks for the reply. One more question concerning step 3. What is the best way to drag and drop the animated layers from the first file? I can only seem to drag one layer at a time and when I switch back to imageready it is no longer animated. Hopefully I am missing something easy.

Thanks again
