Is it possible to "un-slice"?
I am a unix geek who writes raw html -- that is I don't have any experience with various web page composition programs.
I have inherited a website which contains a "sliced" header. There is no indication what program was used to create them, but the are named in the form: "navbar_sliced_bar_r5_c04.gif" The slices are anything but rational. What I need to do is to take the gifs and reassemble them into an original so that I can modify and then "re-slice" it. Is there an "easy" way to do this with Adobe *.cs (Academic Premium)? Or is this simply a "jigsaw puzzel" problem? |

I don't know if I'm the right person to offer you help on this one as I have Unixphobia and have not used the academic permium version of Photoshop before but I'll offer you what I can.
Is there a way to view what the assembled image looks like? Can you get a screen capture of the "completed puzzle" and then just crop out the unwanted? If not then it would probably be a matter of putting all the pieces back together manually. If this is the case I feel for you and would love to help you out if you aren't able to get a screen capture. PM me with a link to where I could view the completed puzzle and I'll take the picture for you and send it back. It'll take me 2 seconds but depending on how many pieces, you could be a while. |
