Jaggy Edges on GIFS when placing on webpage with a background gif
I'm completely blanking on how to fix the problem of getting white jaggy edges around a gif when placing on a webpage where there's a background gif involved.

I'm guessing you used the magic wand to cut that out? You can change the tolerence of the wand to make sure you match the shades you want, but you'll still probably get jagged edges. What you probably want to do is soften the image or possibly even blur the edges.

You need to choose a different matte color. Go to File>Save for Web. Then select GIF 128 from the drop down. There is another dropdown called "Matte." Select "Other" from that menu and select the color of your background (that dark gray color.) Then save it.
