Hello,
I need to join 2 images together to form one image and I was wondering whether this is possible using Photoshop ? Basically I am joing a main image (say of dimensions 6 x 4) with a 'header' image (dimensions 6 x 1). I need the join to be as seemless as possible so that the resulting image looks like one image ! If this is possible I would appreciate someone telling me how ? Cheers Simon |

Hi,
Yes I have the 2 images and can see them. I am probably confusing you because this maybe a very simple question !! I just need to know if there is a way of opening up the 2 images (gifs) in Photoshop and merging them together and then saving the resulting merged image as one gif file. Thanks for your help. by can we see i meant "Attach the pictures" I sort of get waht you mean but i dont understand how you want it to look. What you are describing sounds like you can use a simple masking layer and the gradient tool.

Yes. Photoshop can easily do what you're describing. But what Hackerman's getting at is that there are so many ways to do this it's impossible to know what you're talking about. If you want your question answered you'll have to elaborate and/or show us your images.

Open one gif and Select All (Ctrl+A on Windows, not sure on Mac). Now copy it, and open the other gif. Paste it, and move the thing you pasted to the correct position. Use the magic wand to select any background you might want to delete (i.e. If the image you pasted had a white background, select the white and delete it). Once everything is in position, Merge Visible (Ctrl+Shift+E on Windows), and save.
