keeping specific cmyk values?
hi
i'm trying to keep a certain cmyk value locked down , for instance: a specific 'K' value of 60%. But after inputing that into the sliders, it levels itself out at something like C22 M43 Y11 K33. I can't convert the image to greyscale, as i need the document full colour. And i can't use spot colours channels, as i need to use different levels of 'K' with different values of CMY. If that makes sense, i'd be grateful for any ideas Regards Jez |

I'm not sure I understand what you're trying to do, but you can use Image>Adjust>Selective Color to isolate your changes to the blacks, but that'll affect everything considered 'black' in the image, so getting one section at the right black level may throw off other sections. You'll need to set up some masks to get around that...
