Marquee tool does not make sharp corners, but "stepped". How to stop?
I've never encountered this before, but my Marquee tool is doing this now. The corners are not sharp, 90º angle corners, but are "stepped". I'm using PS 7.0. Any ideas on how to stop this?

set the feather box to zero to get your corners back.

I've never seen the feather option of the marquee make it stepped like that; it always just rounded the corners...how'd you do that?

Well, I have set the feather value to zero, but it didn't make a difference. I have no idea how this started.

hi again,
i get the stepped result when i have feather set to 1px...when 0px i get square corners. when ps acts weird i reload it.
