Move Tool not working!

HELP! I make my living doing graphic design and suddenly my "move tool" stopped working. That means I can's move images from one design to a different design. I also can't move w/in same design. When I do so the layers switch and something else moves. I can move using arrow cursers (slow) but doesn't help when I need to move my objects between different windows/designs. Do I have a bug?

not much to go one there, other than checking to see you haven't got Auto Select selected by mistake, as that can sometimes not pick the layer you think you're selecting, if you happen to click over a transparent part etc.

I've had this problem in Illustrator and upon googling it seems that some believe it is a bug in the program, though I think it has something to do with programs running in the background. I usually have Pandora.com running and I've noticed that it only happens to me when I have Pandora open. But I can't be positive.

Will make a valid guess that OP is referring to this "move tool":
http://www.mediacollege.com/adobe/photoshop/tool/move.html

But I agree that knowing the program name and the edition (version number) will be nice.
