moving pictures into space

i have a .bmp picture id like to place on my project but when i open the picture i dont know how to move it on..

can someone tell me plz

Hey ERICTHEGAME,
All you have to do is use the black arrow to move the image over. Just click on the image and drag it onto the other file. You could also press Ctrl+A which will select everything and then Ctrl+C to copy the image. Then open your other document and press Ctrl+P to paste it. If you have any trouble, make sure that the images are set to the same mode. Image-->Mode

Indexed Color
RGB Color
CMYK Color

the picture i want to move is a .bmp and the one i want it to move it is rgp or what, how do i change it from bmp to rgp?

You do mean RGB right? to edit a .bmp file you need to convert it by going to Image>Mode>RGB colour. I hope this helps.

i don't see why it wouldn't ahve transfered over. Usually BMP files are already set to RGB mode.

Someone must have saved it in a different mode.

Usually you just change the mode by going to edit > mode > rgb color

That should take care of it

Hey Hopstream, what version of Photoshop are you using? Cause 7 has the modes under the Image tab, not Edit.
