My latest render

Well here is my latest render, I would like to know what you think could be added or taken away. I am an amature at 3d **** and by no means am I anything close to decent, but i just thought this came out nice.

looks good but the shadow depths needs to be worked on a little just with respect to the planet and the asteroid...

yeh - looks good Maybe you could add a motion blur to the asteriod!

hmmm, I will try that... Anyone have any ideas for making the astroid tail?? I really want to give it a feeling of some sort of motion. I want to make it look like the armageddon astroid sort of.

Like red hot sheep said, try a motion blur, possibly even pointilizing a motion blur...

another idea is to give the tail a curved triangular tail, suggestive of fast motion...

You could probably do all that easier in Photoshop as a post-processing edit, rather than trying to accomadate that type of change during the render itself...

thats what i was thinking (about the tail), but I am not really sure how i would do the tail in PS. I am sure it wouldnt be that hard but i want it to look good and not just ok. BTW I tried a motion blur on the astriod but.... it didnt come out to well.
