need help cutting out image
Hi I'm new here and I wanted to ask a question. How do I cut out an image in PS? I have 5.0. I have a pic of my dog I want to cut out and put on new background. I have tried the magic tool, but can't get it to work and then I did the lasso, tool and can't get close enough to the edge I have an out line left around my picture. ive seen pictures that were cut out and copy to new b/g but I can't seem to get it. would appreciate any help on this thanks.

you can use the polygan lasso tool or any other lasso tool to get the selection. before using it zoom to around 200% or more so tat u dont miss out some pixels. once ur made the selection. go to select--> feather-->3 and then cut or copy.

You may want to try to use "Mask" to isolate and cut out dog, or if available in ps5, utilize the extract tool |

The magic wand tool can be very useful, just use it with a low tolerance in the edges and in the middle use higher. It can take well-long time if you wanna make it excellent, but also very leet looking. Try again to fix with it, if you get too much of the background, along with you dog, then copy it, open a new document, paste your selection and use your erase tool, at high zoom.
