Need to print large image by tiling several normal/small once. Please help.

I am working on a project that is a large print of about 30 inches wide and 20 inches in height.

(I just wrote a big post but for some reason when I tried posting it the forum logged me off and it didnt post so I wont get too detailed here.)

Basically I need to print the image for example using 9 piece of normal paper and stick it together with transperant tape to make a large image.

Is there a way to do this without the need to cut the borders on each page, I really would like to print borderless pages and not cut them.

If someone could help me with this and tell me how its done I'd be very thankfull since I need this done by Monday and don't have much time left. Thanks.

Hi DigitalMind,

As far as I know it's not possible to print borderless pages because the printer uses the edges of the paper to move it through the printer so they're out of the print area. I hope you have access to a nice paper cutter.

Good luck,
Carrie

That is true for a lot of the printers but some of the new once have the ability to print borderless, it is mostly for printing photos. My printer is Canon MP600 and it can print borderless, I am able to do that, I just have problems doing that when printing a tiled/poster image (large image tiled from other smaller once).

So anyone done something like this and could tell me whats the best way to do this?

i m not sure but you might want to try Jasc Paintshop Pro 7. I had used it a few years back (2002) and it left only a faint line of white around the borders. Give it a try see if it works for you.

there is a program called RonyaSoft ProPoster.

It will do all the work for you.
providing you do have a printer that can print to the edge..
even if you don't it probably does a good enough job.
after all thats all it was made for..
making large posters from regular sized printers.
