No splices! No image output!
Ok, well I am by no means at all good with photoshop, and I know I am going to get some flack but I bought a template to work with in psd format. I was told that I could jut open it in photoshop, make the changes to the layers, save it using the "save for the web" feature, and it would output the seperate images into an images folder that I could use in relation to my HTML pages. HOWEVER, I am just getting one huge pictures! what the h***?!?! Any ideas? Any suggestions would be throughly appreciated!!!!!!!!

You probably have to setup the image slices.
Find the slice tool on the tools window, it looks like a knife. Or press the shortcut key-'K' Then slice up the image and when you save it to web you'll get it as an html table.

Have you tried opening it with ImageReady? It handles slices much better than PS does.

open the psd in image ready.
drag your guides out to where you would like the partitions to be made... go to slices/create slices from guides... OR you could use the knife looking tool to slide your partitions... |
