Number of Regions Selected with Magic Wand
This might be a simple question, but I'm relatively new to photoshop. If I use the magic wand on an image to select a number of distinct regions of a particular intensity (this part I can do), is it possible to obtain a count of how many unique regions were selected?
Thanks in advance, Corey |

hi there,
you could count the steps in the history palette. when using the wand, if you press the shift key that adds to your selection.. |

Well... not quite
That might work if I was selecting different regions throughout the image one at a time. What I'm trying to do however, is to click on one object, and have the Magic Wand select all other similar objects in the image at that instant. I can do that, but what I can't quite figure out is how to count all of those regions once they're selected. It's too many to count by hand, so I was hoping for an automated way to determine that number.
Any other ideas? Thanks. |
