I'm new to photoshop so please be patient. I have a image that I need to change the edge color. Would it be better to use the color replace or just use a paint brush? Mindy

I strive to never change/destroy the pixels in a picture. I would make a new layer where I create the border. So if you need to change the color of the border or even change its looks you could just edit that layer or apply a new layer.
My suggestion for you is to make a new layer and then create the edge (border) that you want.
