Question Photoshop 7 vs. CS1.1 vs. CS1.3

I have some experience with Photoshop CS at work, but now I need to purchase software for my own home-based company.

(For sure I need Photoshop, Acrobat and Illustrator - these are the programs I will use most)

One option is to get the parts separately, but I am thinking about getting the entire Adobe Creative Suite, which includes InDesign, Acrobat, etc.

Is that worth the added expense from the Version 7 photoshop and related versions of the others?

For the full Suite, I see that CS 1.1 is less than half retail on Amazon of CS 1.3 - is this worth the difference??

Most of what I do is web graphics, and 7 might be just fine for me... the photoshop CS at my office just says version 8, not sure if this is 1.1 or 1.3 in the full suite?

Any experienced feedback is greatly appreciated.

After what I know Photoshop CS is only that version ,, not 1.1 or 1.3, The number version is actually the 8.

Maybe its different packaged or something the 1.1 and 1.3 ,, if you had a link to the product would be great, Looked at amazon but couldnt find the one you spoke of.

I would go for the CS. I worked long in 7.0 but after working in CS its just great!. The text tool is much better to work with ( no need to jump over to illustrator to get the effect i wanted its all there in photoshop CS).

I also like the tools like color histogram and so on.

Look at adobe.com to see all the new features there. Its an expensive tool and you should base the decsion on what you need it for. Read about the new features for CS and then make a educated choice.

Have a nice day!

These are the 2

Yeah, I think I will def. go for CS... but what is the diff here?

http://tinyurl.com/42m9m and http://tinyurl.com/6rs9l

even for full, new retail, there is a noticeable price difference between creative suite 1.1 and 1.3... makes me wonder what the 1.3 update was all about, and if it would have anything to do with the parts I actually use?

NOw,, thats something else,, I should really have read you post more carefully, but hey i'm norwegian,, what could you expect :-) right!!..

The Creative suit 1.3 has adobe acrobat 7.0 ,, plus upgraded cue system.

Both you have their will have the same except the acrobat which is 6.0 and 7.0(and some upgrades). But you should be able to upgrade on www.adobe.com.

Read about the creative suite here :-)
