Photoshop (?) adding spaces to upload image names?

I have been trying to upload some jpeg pics (saved for web) created in Photoshop 7.0. Every time I try to upload to a particular site, I get the message that there is an error, file name must not contain spaces. Now, I upload to other sites (E-Bay, etc) with no problem. I am using an I-Mac, which may well be the problem, but, then, other people use the same computer and have no problem.

I have tried saving the files using Graphic Converter, but no change. Any ideas?

The website you're posting them to doesn't allow spaces. I suggest changing the name to something like "example_1.jpg".

Spaces throw off a lot of browsers and cause compatibility issues.

Yeah, Cheesefood has right. Spaces in filenames are no good for web use. It doesn't concern your file format done by graphic converter. you'd better use "_", "-", or "%20" instead of spaces.
%20 is the ASCII code of "space" charachter.

And, please....Don't complain of any Macintosh, ok? :-)))
