Photoshop help

For Photoshop Experts.

I can't get simple text to display or print properly. All my other programs display print clear crisp text with any font and size including other photo editor programs, web authoring software etc. Only photoshop displays and prints text with the jagged edges, missformed characters etc (no vector information). Other work I have seen done with someone elses photoshop looks fine. I must be missing some setting somewhere. Your help will be appreciated. You can email directly if you wish : URL Thanks.

hi,

i'll keep it in the forum if thats ok so others can benefit.

does the text display correctly? if it looks ok in PS then odds are good its something in your printer setup. If it looks bad in PS try turning on Anti Aliasing.

You can also set (in PS7 at least) whether or not to shunt the Vector data direct to the printer. This can be found on the print with preview screen (see attached for more info)

Hope this helps

Icy

You can also select a specific mode for the text. The options usually include "Sharp", "Crisp", and "Strong". What you need is "Crisp". That will fix your problem.

there is a plugin for Photoshop by Alien Skin called Xenofex II which does amazing lightning although you have to buy it... might be useful for future reference:
