"Picture behind a net" PS guru, what is that?

How can I make a picture appear as if it is behind some kind of mesh (net). It kind of looks like that and the whole thing in the end appears faded. Looks great.

If you look at the top of this page you will notice that the header has a net-like thing but what I am talking about, the photo will look like it is behind this net or some mesh. Please if you know what I am talking about, help me.

to me it just looks like a grid?

and to make it fade at the end I suggest applying a layer mask and then the gradient tool

try using a grid with the color of your choice..then do a screenshot..bring it up in photoshop, if you do not like that look you can draw the mesh on a separate layer; in the layer dialogue box adjust the opacity of your mesh.

Yeh - just make a seperate layer above the picture, and put on it a white square with a certain degree of transparacy which will make the picture look faded. Then just draw some faint grey lines on, and duplicate
