PMS colors in Photoshop

I'm having trouble getting PMS colors in photoshop to print the same way as they print from Illustrator. Illustrator seems to be printing fine, but when i print the same PMS color from photoshop, it looks and prints very different.

Also, when i bring in Illustrator files into Photoshop, the colors don't match. reds become very pink, etc. and rebuilding things in PMS colors doesn't seem to yield any better results. any ideas?

Make sure you have the colour settings preferences the same in both applications.
