Problem changing overall color scheme of pic
I'm using photoshop 8 CS, and I'm really new at this.
I attached the pic. You'll see the colors range from different shades of teal to black. I would like to change it so it ranges from a yellow/green to black instead of the teal. Is there a way to do this? I found the color range tool, but I can't get it to do anything. After reading the help file on the color range tool I'm not sure this is even the right tool. I know this is probably a very simple thing to do, but I'm very new at this and any help would be appreciated. |

you could try ctrl-u and change the color.
Or split the black into one layer and the teal into another layer...then ctrl-u. Not sure how helpful Ive been... |

Not positive about 8CS (I use 7) but there is a tool in both Photoshop and ImageReady called Hue/Saturation (under Image>Adjustments on my Mac). Use the hue slider to change the overall tone (check Preview ON) and slide the Saturation line around to get different effects.
Try it and see if that does what you want. If not, there are more complex answers, like selecting all the teal and deleting it, and throwing a gradient underneath on another layer. (To clarify - Ctrl-U is Hue/Saturation, as the prior post indicates - just realized this after I posted.) Last edited by caseyfern : November 6th, 2004 at 03:28 PM. Reason: Clarification: |
