Unhappy Problem with Logodesign in Illustrator

Hi,
I am very new in using both Illustrator and InDesign. I created a logotype in Illustrator (9), upon placing it in InDesign, it looked horrible, like a bit map. What am I doing wrong? Does the size of the logo matter in Illustrator?

Cool Size of the logo

Hi,
it measures 1808 x 413 pixels and will be used in brochures and on a poster measuring 90 x 200 centimeters at an exhibition.
Is it possible to upload it here for someone to look at? It looks ok if I save it as an eps and open it up in Photoshop, but I need it in Indesign..

Hi,
I used Illustrator 9 to create it - doesnīt automatically become a vector or how do I make it one?
Once I had saved it I used InDesign, and used the command "Place" but it looked terrible... like a bitmapped gif.
Initially I saved is as an .ai file and then when it didnt look ok, I also tried to save it in .eps and also export it to .tif etc.
Thanks for supporting me,
Camilla

Red face Good printer output also in Illustrator or InDesign is a must?

I am asking as I am running out of time.
So I have to have the logo working by end of next week when it is supposed to be printed on a 200x90 cm poster.
I am really a newbie, so if anyone out there would be able to help me I would be very grateful.
Is it wrong to save it as an ai.file if you want to place it in InDesign?
Can I create a poster with a good printer output also in Illustrator?
Where can I upload my logo so that anyone might be able to see it and understand what I did wrong?
thank you everybody who is trying to help me.

when you right a post look up there is a button that says insert image. now with ill. if you used the pen tool to draw it should already be in a vector. ill is all about vector drawings almost anything you draw is in vector. And a image at this point would be alot of help because its a image we are working with and not words. also what tool in ill did you use to make the logo.
