Hi, I've checked through this forum and haven't been able to find an answer to my problem.
I've had Adobe PhotoShop for several months and yesterday it started acting funny. Now, it will no longer fully load on my machine. I can open and run ImageReady but when I try to jump to PS it says the program is not responding. Whenever I run PS, it always just disappears right around Loading Brushes. I have quite a few brushes save, so I took the new ones out and tried again, but it didn't solve the problem. I've restarted my computer and also uninstalled and reinstalled it, which hasn't worked either. I'm running WinXP on an HP Notebook with 192 MB Ram and at 910 MHz. I have Norton Corporate Edition installed on my machine and run SpyBot and the SpyBot accessory SpyBlaster. It's pretty much spotless when it comes to SpyWare or Virii, although I connect on a University Network, which is full of all sorts of fun things. If anybody can helpme, I'd really appreciate it, I use it daily and I'm going through withdrawal now. Christine Troetschel URL |

Sounds like a qwerk with Windows XP. However, it is possible that it's a Photoshop issue. Even though this may sound very elementary, have you turned your computer off and on? Rebooting can fix a lot of things. If you have done that, then the next option is to get help. Coming to DevShed was a good start. However, Photoshop is an Adobe Product. If it is a legal registered copy of Adobe Photoshop 7, then they are more than willing to help you. Visit Adobe.com and search for help on their site. You may also try Windows Update to see if your computer needs updating. It is also possible that Photoshop is not working because of an update that was installed. Using Windows Restore, you can restore your system to a point when Photoshop was working, and see if that helps. If not you can always "Unod" a Restore using Windows Restore. Try those things as well to try to resolve your problem. I hope you resolve it soon and quickly.
