Exclamation Rescaling images - not using percentages!

I know you can rescale an image by using Transform and then typing figures into the percentage boxes on the toolbar but is it possible to change these boxes to accept actual measurements rather than percentages.

I relaise you can drag the edges of the image to resize it but this is too fiddly and time consuming when you have lots of images making up a larger design.

Thanks

sounds like you want to use the crop tool and set the values for width, height and resolution. or you can use the rectangular marquee tool with the fixed size style. there are a number of ways to do it ... the one that's best/easiest just depends on the situation. how many images? how much are you resizing/cropping out of the image? are you just resizing or cropping AND resizing?

Resizing images

Thanks for the advice.

Have also discovered that if you right click in the percentage boxes when using Transform, you can change the units to pixels or cm's - perfect!

no problem! when you have weird dimensions like that, especially with print, it's often easier to try to convert them to pixels/points/picas.

If you want to rescale an image, just go to Image Menu/Image Size/and type in the size you want there.

Image Size Dialog
You can change units, and type in the exact size you need.
