Rollover hotspot & show image
Hey,
I have Photoshop CS2 and Macromedia Fireworks 8 but am more comfortable with Fireworks, so I'd prefer to do this in that program. What I want to do is make part of an image a hotspot and set it so when the user rolls over that hotspot, another little image pops up in it's place, possibly with a link. Is this possible with either programs? Thank you very much. ![]() |

I'm not sure about Fireworks, but in Photoshop you can slice the image and then take a look at the slices options. I can't quite remember if there is a field for 'mouseover image URL' or not, and I'm at school - unable to check.
However, presuming this page is going to be coded in HTML, you could simply add the below to the image's tag: onMouseOver="this.src='URL to mouseover image';" Now I'm assuming that you know,a fter slicing the image in Photoshop, that it will save as an HTML file with many smaller images making up your full images in the HTML page. Sorry if that was a bit confusing, feel free to ask for clarification. Hope it helps. |
