Problem working on scanned grayscale file

    hi,

i'm trying to color a pen drawing of mine in photoshop. what i did was scan the drawing as "grayscale" at 300 ppi. then in photoshop i used adjustment -> threshhold and filter -> unsharp mask to make a line art of my drawing. so far so good. but then in order to start using color, i go to image -> mode and change it from grayscale to RGB. and when i do that the lines on my drawing get a little thicker, which i don't like. is there a way to avoid this?

You could try copying it and pasting it into an RGB document.

Sounds pretty basic but it could work.

Do the first phase of the total process after changing the mode, I think it will work for you.
