Slice Layout?
Hey guys, I've been in the dark about this subject for too long now. Whenever I use the slice tool in photoshop I find my layout gets skewed when i bring it into dreamweaver and try to add content to it. How do you guys go about doing it? Right now I have my image and i want to cut it out so i can type and add content whereever i want...whats the best way to do this? Thanks -

you really need to plan out where everything is going to go before you even start laying it out in photoshop.
the slice tool can be handy, but you can also wind up chasing broken tables/rows/columns all over the place too. |

I normally create the entire page in Photoshop, flatten the project, and then cut it into seperate pieces.
It's important that you get precisely pixel to pixel, meaning you're not off by even so much as one pixel. This can be achieved by selecting the first tile, and inverting the selection. |
