Unhappy Strange Photoshop Problem

I've had no problem with photoshop until today.

I tried scanning some photos to photoshop and when the scan is done, photoshop opens but there is no file open.

So I tried just opening a different file with photoshope and it does the same thing, nothing.

I then tried uninstalling photoshop and reinstalling and it didn't fix squat. I don't get it. Photoshop GUI opens fine I just can't open any image files at all.

Desperately seeking help. Please help me.

Thanks, that is all.

Phil

That's the first I've heard of for Photoshop. You might want to try doing this: Open Photoshop, open a file, click the Window option at the top and then see if it shows the file you just opened. If it does, click on the name in the menu. It might just be a window problem....might be off your screen. I had that kind of problem a couple years ago with GoLive.

Send a message via Yahoo to icy_polecat
are you using your scanners own software or PS's Twain aquire? I have probs with my scanners software as it was only written for PS 6. I have to use the File, Import, Twain Aquire Menu to scan but it gives you more control over the process anyway.

If you don't have enough ram, it could just as well be a little slow

I dunno if you've already gotten your problem fixed, but what I do to when I'm scanning pix into photoshop is I go to
file>import>[choose scanner]. I don't know if that helps, but I tried )
