Text problem in PS7
Hi everyone! I just installed PS7, and I've figured everything else out that I need, except the text. I try typing, and it doesn't show up. I actually think it's typing, but it's too small to read. I've done nearly everything I can think of, but no change. My resolution is set at 72, so I don't think that's the problem, my opacity's at 100%, I've tried "commiting" the layer, I've tried "rasterizing" the layer, and my blend mode is at normal, but nothing works.
I'm pretty much at a loss here, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! |

Once you click and start typing, take a look at the Paragraph pallette. Sometimes I've noticed that a tab value will be automatically inserted, when there shouldn't be one. If this is the case, the type is there it's just positioned so far off screen that you can't see it.

An extremely common source of this problem is using a type face that's the same color as your background. What font size are you using for your text? You need to make sure that your font size is suitable for your document resolution. At 72 DPI, your fonts should be the size you expect them to be: i.e. 12 pts is a true 1 pica tall. At higher DPI, your fonts will become considerably smaller. |
